William Henry "Chick" Griffin

William Henry “Chick” Griffin of Enterprise, AL passed away, Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. He was 90.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at County Line Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to County Line Baptist Church, 1000 Highway 92, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Chick was a lifelong resident of Enterprise and a devoted servant to his community. A faithful member of County Line Baptist Church, he lived out his beliefs through hard work, kindness, and service to others. Throughout his life, Chick wore many hats—cattle farmer, chicken farmer, and dedicated rural mail carrier—and he carried each role with pride and integrity. He was honored as Enterprise Man of the Year, a recognition that reflected his deep commitment to the people and place he loved. Chick had a servant’s heart, touching countless lives with his generosity, humility, and unwavering strength. He will be remembered as an extraordinary man whose legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his brother Gary Griffin and sister Doris Jean Smith.

Survivors include his three nephews, Dennis Griffin (Michelle), New Brockton, AL; Kenny Griffin (Nicki), Enterprise, AL; Brent Griffin, Enterprise, AL; two nieces, Leslie Gilley (Ray), Dothan, AL; Vanessa Henderson, Greenhead, FL; sister-in-law, Sandra Griffin Holland (Danny), Enterprise, AL; numerous great nieces and nephews.
