Danny spent many years working in the computer room at The Citizens Bank and when he retired from the bank, he decided to drive a school bus for Enterprise City Schools.

Danny loved Jesus, his family, food, hunting, Auburn football, and NASCAR. He loved to pick on his niece Heather but also did not like others picking on her. Danny gave his niece two nicknames, Feather and Little Girl. He “learnt” not taught her to be an avid NASCAR fan. Sundays were for watching the race and pulling for their favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. They also shared a love for listening to Hank Williams, Jr. and as a little girl riding around in the big green truck with her Mama Byrd on Thursday afternoon, he would play Hank Jr. as they rode around in the country, singing. One of their favorite song’s was “The Blues Man” which became a very special song for Heather, Mama Byrd, and Danny. His niece looked up to him, and she knew she could always count on and trust him. Danny always looked after Margaret and Heather.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents Foy Carroll Byrd and Jean Rainey Byrd.

Survivors include his two sisters, Linda F. Byrd, Enterprise, AL; Margaret B. Temple (Jerry), Jack, AL; brother, Jimmy C. Byrd, Enterprise, AL; niece, Heather Nicole Braswell, New Brockton, AL; special friend, who was his caretaker and helped his family so much, Foyce Johnson, Samson, AL.

The family would like to thank DaySpring Hospice for the care they provided.
