William David Buxton

William David Buxton of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Flowers Hospital. He was 72.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Grady O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time.

David was truly a jack of all trades who could fix just about anything, from house wiring to repairing weed eaters, and he never backed down from a challenge. He loved spending his time fishing, watching Alabama football, and cooking with and for his family, moments that brought him the greatest joy. David worked at Dowling Truck and Tractor for approximately 15 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic, skill, and willingness to help others. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends, leaving behind many memories that will be deeply missed.

David was preceded in death by his parents Cortez and Rebecca Buxton, two sons Byron Buxton and Clinton Buxton, and the mother of his children Sheila Arnette.

Survivors include his two sons, Chris Buxton (Angela), Enterprise, AL; Adam Buxton, Enterprise, AL; one grandson, Brandon Rutherford; three sisters, Jane Hudson (Tony), Enterprise, AL; Kathy Green, Chancellor, AL; Renee Buxton, Enterprise, AL; many beloved nieces and nephews.
