Wille Ned Howell

Willie Ned Howell of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at his home. He was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Ron Ball and Rev. Billy Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

He found great joy in the simple things he loved most in life. He had a love for music and especially enjoyed singing and playing the guitar and fiddle. He was happiest outdoors, taking pride in caring for his yard and always working on his lawn mowers or chainsaws. He also enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta Braves and watching Alabama football. His love for the Crimson Tide was strong, and he was always proud to say, “Roll Tide!”

He was preceded in death by his parents; Bennie Fate and Bessie Howell; three sisters; Olean Grice, Lorene Mock, Carolyn Scarbrough; two brothers; Julian Clifford Howell, James Edward Howell; nephews; Kenneth Howell, Melvin Grice, Bobby Mock, Michael Scarbrough and Matthew Jaehn.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Jackie Howell, Enterprise, AL; children; Tonya Howell, Margaret McKenzie (Jimmy), Adam Jones (Beverly), April Jones-Moore (Danny), granddaughters; Daniela Moore, Megan Wright, Olivia Kaja (Kal), Cecilina Jones; great-grandchildren; Triston, Matylda, Fallon, Kassidy; sister; Mae Opal Weigand, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Southern Care Hospice nurses, chaplains, doctor’s and the office support team.
