Verna White Wilson

Verna White Wilson of Enterprise, AL, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home. She was 80.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Bowden officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 302 North Main Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Verna dedicated her life to nurturing and uplifting those around her, finding immense joy in spending time with her family. Among her greatest joys were her grandchildren, who brought a brightness to her life. Verna took pride in being a devoted grandmother, often seen cheering on her grandchildren in their various pursuits and sharing in their achievements and passions. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Vera White, and sister, Christy Sanders.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Walt Wilson, Enterprise, AL; daughter, Stacy Umfress (Brock), LaGrange, GA; son, Eric Wilson (Nichole), Madison, AL; four grandchildren, Kaylee and Emily Umfress; Samuel and Abby Wilson; three sisters; one brother; numerous nieces and nephews.
