Velma Juliette “Judy” Williams of Jack, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 86.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Pastor Lori Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time.

Judy was a devoted follower of Jesus whose faith shaped every aspect of her life. She loved talking with people and sharing the love and hope she found in her Savior. Judy never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, but her greatest joy was her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, often expressing her love through home-cooked meals and baked treats. An avid student of the Bible, she found comfort and wisdom in God's Word.

Judy also enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and creating a warm, loving home filled with faith, laughter, and treasured memories. Her kindness, generous spirit, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years James Levoy Williams, son Gregory Levoy Williams, brother Hershel Benefield, and sister Frances Benefield.

Survivors include her five children, Vicki Scott (James), Tampa, FL; Keith Williams (Tanya), Andalusia, AL; Sharon Griffin (Richard), Panama City, FL; Brian Williams, Jack, AL; Deborah Taylor (Chuck), Panama City, FL; ten grandchildren, Christopher Bates (Jessica), Timothy Bates (Mezzelle), Tamara Bates (Bobby), Sarah Holt (Zach), Jessica Dobos (Doug), Tiffany Simmons (Chris), Whit Taylor (Gracen), Alexandra Scott (Ben), Graham Taylor (Italee), Courtney Deal (Ethan); eight great-grandchildren, Kiara, Celina, Gabriel, Eliana, Asher, Rory, Jace, Cohen; adopted great-grandchildren, Cerrina and Selena; great-great granddaughter, Charlotte; adopted great-great grandchildren, Cameron and Boston.
