Toshiko Kawazoi Wetzel

Toshiko Kawazoi Wetzel of Daleville, AL passed away, Thursday, March 5, 2026. She was 91.

A visitation period will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, for family and close friends.

Toshiko deeply loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially playing bingo and relaxing with her favorite Westerns and Game Shows. An avid reader, Toshiko was rarely without a book and had a lifelong appreciation for stories and learning. She will be remembered for her warmth, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Richard E. Wetzel.

Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Lanier (Harold), Taylor, AL; son, Richard Wetzel, Jr., Dothan, AL; five grandchildren, Zachary (Kaitlyn), Tyler, Eric, Patrick, and Tad (Morgan); eleven great grandchildren.
