Thomas S. Zachos of Enterprise, AL, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Flowers Hospital. He was 79. 

The family will have a private service at a later date.

Thomas was a devoted family man whose love for those closest to him shaped every part of his life. He served and protected his country with honor through his work with the Department of Homeland Security, dedicating his career to the safety and well-being of others.

A passionate supporter of his community, Thomas proudly founded the Enterprise Wings Soccer Club, creating a place for young athletes to learn, grow, and discover confidence through the sport he loved. Whether on the field or cheering from the sidelines, he found joy in watching others succeed.

Thomas was an avid sports fan, always ready to catch a game and share the excitement. He also held a deep appreciation for the ocean—its calm, its beauty, and the sense of peace it brought him.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Georgia Zachos, Enterprise, AL; son, Alexander Zachos (Mikayla), Atlanta, GA; brother, Jimmy Zachos, Athens, Greece; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
