Sylvia Ann Burch

Sylvia Ann Burch of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, September 18, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Headland, AL. She was 83.

Funeral services will be held at11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Cool Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Bliss officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Braxton Robinson, Josh Robbins, Zach Robbins, Jim Robbins, Patrick Moseley, Logan Travers, Bryon Baker and Korey Bramlett and deacons serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory from 5:00PM until 7:00PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cool Springs Baptist Church, 3004 County Road 708, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Having earned a Batchelor of Education from Troy State University and a Masters Degree from both Troy State and Alabama State University, Mrs. Burch taught school for forty-two years. She began her career teaching at Samson followed by Coffee Springs and finally Daleville. She taught multiple grades from K-12. She was awarded the State of Alabama Golden Apple Teacher of the Year. She was an active member of the Pilot Club and previously served as President of the Enterprise Chapter. She was a faithful member of the Cool Springs Baptist Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Kinston High School and she was selected as Miss Kinston 1961. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her special furry pet Toto.

Mrs, Burch was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Burch; her sisters, Linda and Charlotte; and her brothers, Ronald and Eugene.

Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Bramlett (Korey), Headland, AL; son, Jeff Burch (Joyce), Enterprise, AL; six grandchildren, Holly Bramlett, Brooke Bramlett, Hillary Miles (Bryant), Joshua Robbins, Jerika Daley (Collin), Emily Robinson (Braxton); ten great-grandchildren.
