S.E. Cook

S.E. Cook, 93, of Daleville, AL passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 1:15 PM, Friday, August 22, 2025 at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory.

Born with a passion for life and service he proudly served his country for over 20 years in the United States Army as an avionics technician. After retiring from the military, he continued to serve his community through civil service for an additional 10 years. Known for his remarkable work ethic and wide-ranging skills, he truly was a jack of all trades. A man of deep faith, he also was very instrumental in the building and growth of the Daleville Church of God, where his dedication to God and his church family left a lasting legacy.

He loved Alabama football — Roll Tide! He was an avid NASCAR fan, even fulfilling a dream of taking laps in a real racecar. His zest for life and enthusiasm for the things he loved was contagious. Above all else he cherished his wife and his family. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years Robbie Cook, Daleville, AL; three daughters, Sheila Clay, Daleville, AL, Redonna Leckie, Delano, TN, Lisa Moore (Joe), Delano, TN; Four sons, Steven Cook, Troy, AL, Ernest Cook (Dawn), Clarksville, TN, David Cook, Union City, TN, Michael Cook, Daleville, AL; twenty-one grandchildren, Sean Clay, Timothy Rice, Kerri Rayford, Travis Cook, Melissa Cook, David Cook Jr., Joshua Cook, Jonathan Moore, along with twelve step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
