Sara Catherine Pouncey

Sara Catherine “Cathy” Pouncey of Daleville, Alabama passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at her home. She was 68.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at County Line Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Wiggins officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time.

Cathy lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. She was deeply devoted to her family and her church, where she served in many capacities, including leading the bereavement committee. A member of the church choir, Cathy loved to sing and worship through music, sharing her joy and faith with everyone around her.

She cherished the things that brought her happiness—her beloved dogs, the magic of Christmas, and the peace of the ocean. She eagerly decorated for the holidays long before the season arrived and found joy at the beach, especially while snorkeling in the clear blue water. Cathy’s generous heart, joyful spirit, and love for others will live on in the many lives she touched.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Sara Pouncey, daughter Catherine Paige Williams, and brother-in-law Terry Brewer.

Survivors include her loving husband of 25 years, Richard Leddon, Daleville, AL; three daughters, Michcayla Goodwin (David), Daleville, AL; Jennifer Leddon (Jeff), Cincinnati, OH; Summer Walker (Travis), Wellington, NV; ten grandchildren, Ayla, Jaxon, James, Joelle, Houston, Kate, Isaac, Hannah, Jaydin and Blaine; two great-grandchildren, Koen and Claire; special friend, Warren Williams; three sisters, Linda Bieri (Thomas), Walton County, FL; Jackie Crowe (Dewey), Panama City, FL; Becky Brewer, Dothan, AL; several nieces and nephews; special dog, Maisie.
