Samuel Dale Stone

Samuel Dale Stone of Enterprise, AL passed away, Saturday, November 1, 2025, at his home. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Karl Hudson officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Burial will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time.

Samuel was a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did. A true handyman, he could fix or build just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Family was at the heart of his life, he was deeply involved in his children’s activities. Samuel never missed a chance to coach his sons’ games, no matter the sport.

A proud patriot, Samuel served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army, where he dedicated many years before retiring. Even after his military service, his desire to serve others never waned; he continued to give of his time, skills, and heart to help those around him.

Samuel was preceded in death by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary Anita Stone.

Survivors include his two sons, Michael Stone (Lauren), Coosada, AL; Tristan Stone, Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Makenzie Stone and Michael Stone, Jr.; two brothers, Roger Stone (Peggy), Jasper, AL; Bartley Stone (Donna), Susan Moore, AL; two sisters, Alvina Holmes (Wayne), Harton, AL; Sandra Stone, Enterprise, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
