Sammy Dale Dennis

Sammy Dale Dennis, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Enterprise, Alabama, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Enterprise, Sammy built a life rooted in family, community, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Karl Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. 

Sammy proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a respected and influential figure in Alabama’s cattle and poultry industries. His work and leadership left a lasting mark on the agricultural community. 

Known as one of the most respected men in Enterprise, Sammy never hesitated to step up when needed. He was a man of integrity, generosity, and quiet strength—someone others could always count on. 

Above all, Sammy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His deep love for his family was evident in everything he did. He shared his passion for sports and fishing with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. 

He will be remembered not only for what he accomplished, but for who he was—a loyal friend, a steady presence, and a man who made a difference in the lives of many.

Sammy was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Dennis, and his parents, Naomi Dennis and Alvie Lee Dennis.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Martha Jane Dennis; his son, Sammy Dale Dennis, Jr. and wife Monica Dennis; his son, Troy Dennis; his cherished grandchildren, Kyle Dennis and Harlie Miller, Katie Dennis, and Krissy Dennis; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Ryder Dennis and Wyatt Dennis.
