Peggy B. Percival passed away December 22, 2025 and was born September 22, 1941 in Opp, AL to the late Kenneth and Rachel Barr.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Jacksonville State University, her career was with the Federal Government as an analyst, retiring in 1992 at Fort McClellan, AL where they lived in Anniston for 25 years. She was a member of Ft. McClellan Golden Belles, NARFE, AARP, DAV Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star – Melita Chapter, JSU Alumni Association, Westview Baptist and was a volunteer many years with the American Red Cross, U.S. Army Community Service Organization and Friends of The Library. She loved movies, reading, crossword puzzles, instrumental music, writing poetry and interior decorating.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jim D. Percival and then moved back to Opp in 2008. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Percival and her brothers, Jimmy, Dalton and Donald Barr .

Survivors include a son, Geoffrey (Lisa) Percival, Lincoln, AL; grandson, Dylan Percival; granddaughters: April Carroll, Hilary (Branden) Coomer and Heather Carroll, and 8 great grandkids.

Per Peggy’s wishes, she was cremated and her ashes interred in the crypt with her husband at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS, Pensacola, FL.
