Sister Mary Jane Smith, a faithful Apostolic Pentecostal saint and a pillar of the faith, passed away in May 2006. While she was originally interred at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Gotha, Florida, her family has recently honored her legacy by transferring her to Sunset Memorial Gardens in Geneva, Alabama. There, she has been reunited and laid to rest awaiting the resurrection of the Righteous alongside her beloved husband, Bishop Herman Smith.

A woman who truly loved the Lord with all her heart, Sister Smith was a faithful Saint of God who lived a life consecrated to holiness. From 1978 until her passing in 2006, she served with grace and distinction as the First Lady of the Pentecostal Assembly of Jesus Christ in Ocoee, Florida. Beside her husband, Bishop Herman Smith, she poured her life into serving the saints and upholding the standards of the Word.

Sister Smith was blessed with a special gift for singing. She used her voice to glorify God and usher in the Spirit during countless services. She was best known and loved for her stirring rendition of her favorite song, "This Is What Heaven Means to Me." Today, those lyrics ring with even greater meaning as she enjoys the heavenly reward she so faithfully sang about.

She is survived by her son Michael Smith, Sr. and his wife, Alisa Jan Smith of Enterprise, Alabama; Grandsons: Rev. J. Caston Smith and his wife, Misty; Michael Smith, Jr. and his wife, Holly; David R. Smith and his wife, Yasha. All of Enterprise, Alabama; Great-Grandchildren: MariJane Smith and Annalise Smith. Maryh'annah Smith, Felicity Smith, Michael H. Smith and David A. Smith.

She was preceded in death by, her son Herman Ronnie Smith, and grandson, Ronnie Benton (Ben) Smith. Her parents Caston Sasser and Jessie Lee Bell Sasser. Brothers, Earl Sasser, Edgar Sasser, Leland Sasser, and Bud Sasser. One sister, Printha Ann Sasser Brooks. The deaths of others siblings came after Sister Smith's - Sisters Eva Pearl Sasser Jensen, Seretha Ann Sasser Johnston, Rev. Bobby R. Sasser, Kenneth Sasser and Buddy Sasser.
