Marlin Wally Phillips

Marlin Wally Phillips of Enterprise, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his home. He was 74. Marlin was born in Cullman County, AL on February 24, 1951, to Marlin and Frances Phillips. At an early age, his family moved to Century, FL.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Howard Moore officiating. In his teen years he met the love of his life, Janice, where they spent 57 years together. Life carried him from Century, FL to Vietnam, Germany and Enterprise, AL where he became a Police Officer until he was medically retired.

Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Frances and his son, Christopher Phillips.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Janice Phillips, Enterprise, AL; a son, Shannon Phillips (Laura), Enterprise, AL; daughter, Kelly Harding (Bill), Lakehurst, NJ; granddaughter, Ashley Cotton (Alex); 2 grandsons, Matthew Phillips, Enterprise, AL and Justin George, Lakehurst, NJ; 3 great-granddaughters, Grace, Addison and Summer; sister, Sherry (Rickey), Cullman, AL; 4 brothers-in-law; 3 sisters-in-law; niece, Laura Smith (Cody), Cullman, AL
