Marion E. Holloway

Marion E. Holloway of Elba, AL passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 2, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Dr. John Granger officiating. Burial will follow in Goodman Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Goodman Cemetery, c/o Jerry Jones, 463 County Road 633, Enterprise, AL, 36330.

Marion was the proud owner and operator of GISCO Industrial, a role he carried out with dedication, integrity, and hard work. He was a graduate of Elba High School and Troy State University, and in his younger years he enjoyed playing basketball in Elba, where his competitive spirit and love of the game were well known. A lifelong Auburn fan, Marion rarely missed the chance to cheer on the Tigers.

Above all, Marion treasured time spent with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He loved cookouts, gatherings with friends, and making memories with those he cared about most. He had a gift for conversation and truly never met a stranger.

Marion found joy in the outdoors and especially loved trips to the beach, where he could relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. During his illness, he faced each day with quiet strength and grace, never complaining and always thinking of others. He will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and the genuine warmth he shared so freely with everyone around him.

Marion was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Buna Pearl Holloway and brother Herbert Holloway, Jr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Diane Holloway, Elba, AL; two sons, Mark E. Holloway (Susan), Murray, KY; Bryan S. Holloway, Daphne, AL; two grandchildren, Haley Jo Holloway and Sarah Elizabeth Holloway; two sisters, Peggy Walls, Destin, FL; Nelly English, Elba, AL; special friend, Terri Montgomery.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone for the love, prayers, and support shown during Marion’s illness. They are especially thankful for the many friends who stayed in touch and offered encouragement throughout this difficult time.
