Marilyn Marsh Watkins of Enterprise, AL passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Flowers Hospital surrounded by family. She was 90.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 16, 2026, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Dr. Olivia Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 201 Heath Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Marilyn was a charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church where she taught the children’s choir. She very much loved music and playing the piano. She enjoyed people, especially her Birthday Girls and taking them to her Bay House, and she never met a stranger. She was a member of the Louieres Club and she travelled across the southeast and sang with them. She owned and operated Marshmallow Kindergarten, but most of all, she enjoyed her time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Estelle Marsh; her brother, Ralph (Buddy) Marsh Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Haywood Watkins Sr, Enterprise, AL; a daughter, Debbie Robinson, Freeport, FL; son, Doug Watkins (Cindy), Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Josie Robinson Lane (Harrison), Joshua Robinson, Erin Perry, Douglas Watkins (Michelle), Ryan Ivey (Kate), Brent Ivey (Jean); great-grandchildren, Jenson Robinson, Evelyn Morea Robinson, Declan George Boyle, Collin Perry, Caleb Perry, Callie Elizabeth Johnson, Linligh Watkins, Hayes Watkins, Shane Ivey, Johanna Ivey.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at The Kelly Place for their love and kindness they showed to their mother.
