Lonnie “Rusty” Edward Wambles, of Jack, AL passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home. He was 70.

A passionate outdoorsman, Rusty found joy in hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers throughout Coffee County. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his deep affection for his wife, family, and friends. Rusty cherished the time spent with his loved ones. His spirit of adventure, warmth, and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Patricia Wambles, brother Monty Wambles and sister Dottie Armstrong.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kay Wambles; three sons, Jeff Peacock (Janet); Chad Wambles; Ryan Wambles (Alysse); two step-sons, Daniel Lee Strickland, Jr.; Britt Lee Strickland (Carolyn); step-daughter, Kasondra Strickland; thirteen grandchildren, Gracie Smith (Lucas), Grant Peacock (Gracyi), Parker Peacock, Brannon Peacock, Riley Wambles, Cohen Wambles, Brandon Strickland, Austin Strickland, Alexus Strickland, Tyler Patterson, Braxton Strickland, Kenzley Strickland, and Lakeland Strickland; great-granddaughter, Aspen Hope Strickland.
