In Loving Memory of Lee Vincent Hendricks (1980–2025)

Services will be announced at a later date.

Born November 30, 1980, to Randy and Teresa Hendricks, Lee completed his mission on October 6, 2025.

Lee spelunked through life—wild and full-throttle. Whatever he set his mind to, he did with his whole heart, and he delighted in helping others succeed. From “Pool Prophet” to engineer, from son and brother-in-law to friend, Lee wore many titles—but he was loved most as husband and dad.

For 25 years, Lee and his wife, Chelsia, built a life rich with love and adventure—one that became even better with the arrival of their beloved daughter, Rylee Kline, and her husband, Ethan Kline. All life was precious to Lee. His generosity was known by friends, family, and even strangers—you could always count on him. He valued every living thing, rescuing tiny creatures he found stranded in the pools he cleaned, because every life mattered to him.

Above all else, Lee loved his heavenly Father, Jehovah. He lived a faithful life, marveling at creation—especially the wonder of space. He often spoke of exploration; we can picture him ready to go, Scully at his side, for that next great adventure.

Through his faithful course, Lee left a spiritual legacy with his loving wife, Chelsia, and his cherished daughter, Rylee, along with the many hearts he touched through his privilege of serving as an elder and teacher of the Bible. He also passed along his knowledge of pools and maintenance to his daughter, son-in-law, nieces, and brother-in-law.

Over the years, Lee and Chelsia’s family circle grew to include his mother-in-law, Diana Pryor (Dale Pryor); sister, Cherish Salay (Daniel Salay); brothers, Chad Pryor and Charlton Pryor; and his dearly loved nieces—Ayshton Salay, Alexandria Salay, Heaven Pryor, and Aerianna Pryor. His one-of-a-kind personality, fearless willingness to learn and to teach, tireless work ethic, open-handed generosity, and gentle care for people and animals great and small have left a permanent mark on our hearts. He leaves behind many who loved him—and his faithful dog, Scully—who will miss him every day.

Although there are many unanswered questions in the face of such a sudden loss, we are assured that Lee rests peacefully in the perfect memory of our loving God of all comfort. Though he has finished this part of his mission, we trust that Jehovah will bring our “moon man” back to us in perfect health—and that we will continue our explorations with him. We’ll take turns traveling to the stars together.

Ground control to our Lee: we wait patiently for your return.
