LaWanna Joy Cheshire

LaWanna Joy Cheshire of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Kenny Carter officiating.  Burial will follow in First Baptist Church of Level Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.

Mrs. Cheshire was preceded in death by her parents, John Amos and Jennie Ve Burkett; brother, Lamar Burkett; and son, Johnny Randy Bowman, Jr. 

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James F. Cheshire, Enterprise, AL; daughters, Jeanette Yvonne Whatley, Sandra Michelle Cornell (Brennon Brown), Tracy Renee McNulty, Lori Selena Daniels (Sergio Benitez) all of Enterprise, AL; 10 grandchildren, Sarah Whatley, Amanda Whatley, Tony Whatley, Courtney Sanders, Caitlyn Daniels, James Daniels, Jasmine McNulty, Austin McNulty, Kevin Bowman and Seth Bowman; 2 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Vincent Sanders; sisters, Dianne McNeil (Joel), Enon, AL, Carolyn Miller, Florida; brothers, Kenneth Burkett, Headland, AL, Larry Burkett, Headland, AL, Leon Burkett, Ebro, FL.
