She was a woman of many talents who found joy in living a simple, holistic life and making the most of everything she had. An expert gardener and exceptional cook, she was known for creating meals so inviting that friends who caught the aroma from her kitchen often hoped to stay for dinner. She believed in avoiding waste, cherished the beauty of simple living, and was never one to give away all of her gardening secrets. A gifted seamstress, she lovingly made clothes for her children, and she also enjoyed pottery and music throughout her life. In fact, it was music that brought her and the love of her life together—she was playing the drums in a band in Vietnam when she met her beloved husband, Richard. Above all, she treasured her family, remaining actively involved in their lives and creating countless memories with those she loved. Her devotion to Richard was unwavering, and she loved him with all her heart and soul. Her warmth, creativity, and love for family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Richard Klemm; grandson, Samuel Joiner; Step-grandson, Ryan Winkelmann.
Survivors include her three daughters, Diana Winkelmann (Joe), Huntsville, AL; Judy Joiner (Chris), Chancellor, AL; Cheryl Wilson, Idaho; son, Frankie Klemm (Christina), Hartford, AL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members in Vietnam.
