Joseph Wayne Purvis, of Andalusia, AL, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was 53.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ann and Larry Gillespie, along with his nephew Skylar Garity.
Survivors include his two sisters, Patricia Garity, Enterprise, AL; Rachel Purvis, Andalusia, AL; three brothers, David Lee (Vicky), Level Plains, AL; Ray Purvis (Lerna), Level Plains, AL; Carl Harris, South Carolina; along with numerous nieces, nephews and multiple cousins.
