John Castillo of Enterprise, Alabama passed away, Friday, January 16, 2026 at his home.  He was 76.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 26, 2026 at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Kenny Carter officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.  

Mr. John was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones, especially his cherished grandchildren. His family was the center of his life, and he took pride in every moment shared together. Mr. John honorably served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his strong work ethic, loyalty, and sense of duty.

He was the proud owner of Jr’s. Custom Upholstery, where his craftsmanship and dedication were well known and respected. A true automobile enthusiast, Mr. John was also one of the founders of the Low Riders in the Enterprise area. His love for cars was evident in his enjoyment of car shows and his lifelong appreciation for automobiles of all kinds.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Castillo; brothers, David and Joseph Castillo.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Pamela Castillo, Enterprise, AL; three daughters, Cindy Castillo Simon (Keith), Enterprise, AL, Patricia Castillo, Slocomb, AL, Mary House, Slocomb, AL; two sisters, Rose Marie Valero (AL), Jenny Castillo (Grace); four brothers, Robert Castillo (Mary), Raymond Castillo (Peggy), Henry Castillo (Bobbie), James Castillo (Candy); grandchildren, Ashley Gordon (Andrew), Douglasville, GA, Chris Simon, Enterprise, AL, along with five others; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rose Gordon, along with eight others.
