Joe F. Martin

Joe F. Martin of New Brockton, Alabama passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at his home. He was 74.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Ino Baptist Church with Rev. Garry Winstead and Rev. Danny Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.

Joe loved camping and the outdoors, especially while sitting on his porch. He was happiest when he was on his tractor, working the land he loved. A farmer in his younger years, he later worked for many years as an HVAC technician with Woodall Heating and Cooling before serving Troy State University for over 17 years. Joe deeply valued time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Quiet and soft-spoken, he was known for his kind and gentle heart. A faithful member of Ino Baptist Church, Joe found great joy in singing and praising Jesus in the choir until his health no longer permitted.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents James L. and Gladys K. Martin, daughter April K. Martin, and brother James L. Martin.

Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Judy K. Martin, New Brockton, AL; four daughters, Kimberly D. Jinright (Ryan), Jack, AL; Jennifer A. Burch (Kyle), New Brockton, AL; Natasha J. King, New Brockton, AL; Melissa Hitt (Lance), Enterprise, AL; son, Shane Martin, Enterprise, AL; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Addington, New Brockton, AL; Jody Addington, Sanford, FL.
