Joe Rollins Benefield, of Clayhatchee, AL passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at Noland Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 90.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Tony Deese officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory.
Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and he loved his family and his Lord immensely. He served in the Army, where he proudly served his country. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandbabies. Joe had a passion for fishing, farming, woodworking, cooking, and being out at B&B Deer Processing.
Mr. Benefield was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Faye Casey Benefield, two sisters Evelyn Smith and Judy Yelverton, three brothers Doug Benefield, Jennings Benefield, and James Clayton Benefield, and great-grand daughter Briella McCarter.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Jo McCarter (Jeffrey), Owensboro, KY; son, Rollins Benefield (Pam), Clayhatchee, AL; six grandchildren, Britney Carmona (Chelis), Owensboro, KY; Justin McCarter (Amber), Bowling Green, KY; Hunter McCarter (Adrianna), Evansville, IN; Trevor Benefield (Kaitlin), Ozark, AL; Hayley Robbins, Enterprise, AL; Hunter Cumbie (Marissa), Clayhatchee, AL; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Arrington, Clayhatchee, AL; brother, Jerry Benefield (Patricia), Wicksburg, AL; two sisters-in-law, Shelby Benefield and Myra Benefield.
