Jimmy Cook Tomberlin

Jimmy Cook Tomberlin of Enterprise, AL passed on Friday, July 5th, 2024, at the age of 80.  

A memorial service will be held at Jimmy's Farm, 1429 County Road 712, Enterprise, on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 10:30 AM (CT).  This would have been Jimmy's 81st birthday.  Immediately following a short service and scattering of his ashes, friends and family are invited to gather at the home of Elaine and Joseph Willmann, 10170 North State Highway 27, Chancellor.

Born in County Line, Jimmy resided in Enterprise his entire life.  He served in the Army Reserves and worked as a financial bookkeeper or office manager for Paschal’s Dairy, Enterprise Hospital, ESMAC Roofing, and Townsend Building Supply.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Susanna Frances Roberts Tomberlin and Joseph (Joe) Seaborn Tomberlin, and his half-brother, Hollis Larue Powell.  

Jimmy is survived by his son, Jason Cook Tomberlin, Geneva; his sister, Martha Jo Tomberlin Hurley (Lee), Birmingham; nieces, Beverly Hurley Hill (Derrick), Signal Mountain, TN, and Constance (Connie) Hurley Hancock (Mike), Birmingham; and an extended family that includes Elaine and Joseph Willmann, Chancellor.

Special thanks are given to all those who cared for Jimmy in his last year of life, including, but not limited to the Willmanns of Chancellor; the staff of Madison Heights Memory Care Community (Atlas Senior Living); and the staff of SouthernCare Hospice Services.
