Jennifer Ann Duty of Dothan, AL passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at her home. She was 54.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Jennifer found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach, swimming, baking, cooking, and watching movies, especially the classics The Wizard of Oz and Forrest Gump, which she knew so well she could quote nearly every line. An avid sports fan, Jennifer enjoyed watching all sports and shared her love of athletics by serving as both a softball and basketball coach. An avid football fan, she faithfully cheered for the Jacksonville Jaguars. She also enjoyed watching The Golden Girls, creating arts and crafts with her beloved grandson, affectionately known as “Nugget Butt,” and browsing thrift stores, which she considered her own form of retail therapy. She cherished time with family and friends and looked forward to family vacations that created lasting memories. Jennifer had a special fondness for flamingos and sunflowers, reflecting her bright, cheerful, and loving spirit.

Mom truly believed that “life is like a box of chocolates,” and she lived every single moment to the absolute fullest. She created a world for us where “there’s no place like home,” filling our lives with warmth, laughter, and endless security. She was our rock, our guide, and the truest confidante, and we will always thank her “for being a friend.” “While dying is just a part of life,” the beautiful legacy of love she left behind will stay with us forever.

Preceded in death by her fur babies April, and Fatty
