James Norman Sanderson of Ozark, AL passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at Flowers Hospital. He was 77. No services scheduled at this time.
James was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family, whom he loved dearly. His work carried him across all 48 states, where he faithfully made his deliveries with dedication and determination. Known for being a “what you see is what you get” kind of person, James was genuine, straightforward, and true to himself in all aspects of life.
When he wasn’t on the road, James enjoyed spending time at the casino and looked forward to returning home after his trips. Being home brought him comfort and joy, especially when surrounded by those he loved most. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his honest nature, and his deep love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edward and Lucille Hendrickson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha Anne Sanderson, Ozark, AL; two daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Sanderson-Byrd (Tony), Ozark, AL, Susan Sanderson Lebsack (Andrew), Katy, TX; two sons, James “Vince” Sanderson (Kathy), Cosby, TN, William “Joey” Sanderson (Marsha), Chancellor, AL; brother, William “Bill” Edward Sanderson, Kansas City, KS; eight grandchildren, Mandy, Lizzie, Jolene, Dale, Seth, Emile, Alexander, Isaac.
In Lieu of flowers, donations be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
