Kenneth Davis of Samson, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Flowers Hospital. He was 74.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2026, at Piney Grove Assembly of God with Rev. Larry Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Assembly of God Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.

Kenneth was a man deeply rooted in family, tradition, and the simple joys of life. He had a lifelong love for farming and found great peace in the outdoors, especially during deer season. Some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by nature or working the land he cherished.

Above all else, Kenneth treasured his family. He especially adored his grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to hear all about their games, achievements, and adventures. Their stories brought him immense pride and joy.

Kenneth enjoyed relaxing evenings watching classic westerns like Gunsmoke, along with his favorite hunting shows. A devoted Alabama football fan, he could always be counted on to cheer for the Crimson Tide. Though he might not have admitted it, Kenneth had mastered Facebook Reels and secretly loved spending time on his phone, keeping up with videos and moments that made him smile.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Fran Davis, Piney Grove, AL; daughter, Tobi Petty (Steve), Victoria, AL; son, Lucas Davis (Kayla), Piney Grove, AL; three grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Alee Davis, and Lane Davis; two sisters, Carolyn Wyatt, Enterprise, AL; Nellwyn Peters (Woody), Kinsey, AL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his special friends and cousins, Chase Alford (Amanda), Piney Grove, AL; Terry Jones (Candace); Richard Jones (Shonna); Becky and Larry Alford.
