Jack Franklin Pouncey

Jack Franklin Pouncey of Daleville, AL passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 26, 2021 at County Line Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday. Jack was born, April 20, 1926 in Dale County to Carl and Willie Esther Hatcher Pouncey. He was a Merchant Marine, farmer, prison guard and supervisor with the state of Alabama Highway Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 64 years, Sara Wells Pouncey; granddaughter, Catherine Paige Williams; his brothers and their wives, Billy C. and Mary C. Pouncey; James R. and Mary E. Pouncey; brother, Joseph T. Pouncey; his sister and her husband, Mildred (Sister) and Millard White; son-in-law, Terry Brewer; grandson-in-law, Troy Strausbaugh; brother-in-law, Thomas Wells; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Wayne Helms and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Pouncey. He is survived by his four daughters, Linda K. (Thomas) Bieri, Inlet Beach, FL; Jackulyn F. (Dewey) Crowe, Panama City, FL; J. Becky Brewer, Dothan, AL; Sara Catherine (Richard Leddon) Pouncey, Daleville, AL; grandchildren, Ginger L. (Jeremy) Lindsey; Kristin C. (Peter) Muller; Denise Strausbaugh; Timothy (Amber) Crowe; Elizabeth (Sean) McGann; Alex T. Horne; Michcayla (David) Goodwin; his brother, Robert M. (Sue) Pouncey; brother-in-law, Larry (Virginia) Wells; sister-in-law, Jane Wells; sister-in-law, Linda B. Pouncey; 8 bonus grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, with twin boys on the way; numerous nieces and nephews. We want to thank the Kindred Hospice Staff, Jessica and Maria for their loving care shown to Jack.
