J. W. "Felix" Coon passed away August 6, 2025, at a nursing facility in Dothan, AL. He was 89.
Mr. Coon was born November 17, 1935, in Opp, AL, to Mervis Daugherty Coon and Snodie Wilson Coon. He is a graduate of Elba High School, Class of 1954, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Coon Scholz of Amarillo, TX.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy (Alan) Cobb of Enterprise, AL; his sister, Linda Young of Dothan, AL; and his grandson, Roman Scholz of Amarillo, TX.
In accordance with Mr.Coon's wishes, there will be no public services.
