Helen Irene Mixon of Enterprise, AL passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 at her home. She was born on September 5, 1942, in Batavia, New York.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home at a later date.

Helen joined the US Army in 1977 at the age of 35 years. She retired in 1984 at the rank of Sargent (E-5).

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Moyer and Philip George Moyer; a brother, Philip Charles Moyer; daughter, Scherrlynn Schroth; and a son, Walter Schroth.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara Eggleston; nieces, June Scott and Beth Eggleston; cousin, Floyd Heaton; nephew, Joey Cole; granddaughter, Jennie Hardcastle; grandson, Jerry Miller; granddaughter, Raven Munger; 4 great-granddaughters, Serena Miller Gillespie (Roy), Chloe Hardcastle, Ava Cole (Stevie), Amelia Miller; and many other relatives and friends.
