Harry Vincent Mongillo Jr.

Harry Vincent Mongillo Jr, of Daleville, AL passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his home. He was 73.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Harry served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he worked as a radio operator. Following his military service, he went on to a long and fulfilling career as an engineer with CSX Railroad. He was a proud member of Brotherhood Union 867 and retired after 17 years of dedicated service.

Harry deeply cherished the time he spent with his loving wife, his faithful dog Kimber, and his close-knit family. Whether it was sharing stories at home or cheering on his favorite teams UCONN basketball, Carolina Hurricanes, and New York Giants football.

Mr. Harry was preceded in death by his two children Dawn and Anthony Mongillo, parents Harry and Ruby Mongillo, and mother-in-law Betty Ann Conroy.

Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years April Mongillo, Daleville, AL; two daughters, Jamie Moore, and Cissie Mongillo; two sons, Harry Mongillo III, and Edward Mongillo (Amanda); five grandchildren, Ella, Leland, Bristol, Kinsley, Nico; along with his family in Connecticut and special friends James and Marna Carlozzi
