Gwen Eloise Trinker

Gwen Eloise Trinker of Enterprise, AL passed away, Monday, October 27, 2025. She was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 31, 2025, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 Alabama 134, Enterprise, AL 36330 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Gwen never liked to stay in one place for long — she was a true wanderer at heart. Her adventurous spirit carried her across the world, calling many places home over the years, including several in Texas.

A dedicated educator, Gwen taught History and Special Education at Daleville High School, Pinedale Elementary, and Kinston, where she inspired countless students. Outside the classroom, she found joy in crafting. Gwen was also a devoted member of the Episcopal Church.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents George and Audrey Trinker, and nephew Jason Edward Livings.

Survivors include her son, Joshua George Trinker (Layna), El Paso, TX; granddaughter, Ayla Yealin Trinker; two sisters, Gail Thomas (Farrell), Enterprise, AL; Audrey McMillin, Enterprise, AL; brother-in-law, Samuel E. McMillin, Weaver, AL; three nieces, Stephanie Livings Wells (Greg), Dothan, AL; Audrey Tanelle McMillin, Jacksonville, AL; Tanya Thomas Bowden, Enterprise, AL; two great nephews, Alexander Jason Wells and Jonathan McMillin Cortis; great niece, Kathryn Dawn Cortis; other family and friends.
