Glenn William Young

Glenn William Young, age 77 of Enterprise, AL, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. He was born in Cartersville, Georgia on August 11, 1948 to Marvin Young and Lillian Shellnut Young. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Melissa Young; and brother, Jimmy Young.

No services are scheduled at this time.  

Glenn proudly served in the US Army and was deployed to Vietnam during that conflict. He cared deeply about veterans and supported disabled veterans and POW/MIA efforts in particular. Glenn was a life-long collector and seller of ‘stuff’ and loved a flea market. In recent years, he enjoyed spending time at the Enterprise Senior Center playing dominos.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Regina Young Hyatt (Chad) and members of his wife’s family including mother-in-law, Barbara Haire (Hughie); nephew, Austin Redman; niece, Amanda Nicole Redman; great-nieces, Genesis Redman, Zoey Smith; great-nephew, Liam Redman; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Hall.
