George Rogers of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 71.

George was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for his family, which was always the most important thing in his life. He was known as one of the best heavy equipment operators in the Southeast, and he dedicated himself to his work with the same passion and determination he brought to everything he did. For George, his work was more than a job—it was his favorite hobby. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed tractors, farming, and spending time working the land. To his grandchildren, he was lovingly known as “Gran-Gran,” a name that reflected the special place he held in their hearts. One of his greatest joys was riding horses with his granddaughters and making memories together. Above all, George loved Jesus Christ and had accepted Him as his personal Savior.

Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Rogers; his parents; Vincent and Catheron Rogers; father and mother-in-law; Jeff and Dorothy Adkison; brother, Bill Rogers; sister, Ginger Rogers.

Survivors include his daughter; Ashley Rogers, Enterprise, AL; a son; Jeffery Rogers, Enterprise, AL; three grandchildren, Taylor Wood (Austin), Jack, AL, Gracie Andrews, Enterprise, AL, Mary Cate Cox (Ben), Bainbridge, GA; one great-grandchild, Georgianna (on the way); two step-great grandchildren, Eli and Raelynn; three sisters, Judie Hurley (Windham), Enterprise, AL, Barbara Worthy (Jerry Mosley), Martha Wood (Missouri); two brothers, Tommy Rogers (Julie), Enterprise, AL, Glenn Rogers, Enterprise, AL; brother and sister-in-law; Larry and Patty Adkison; sister-in-law; Donna Adkison; close friend, Ricky Turner; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
