Fred Dayton Conneway of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, March 27, 2026 at his home. He was 95.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery in Titusville, FL, Monday, April 6, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.
Fred lived a life marked by service, skill, and a genuine love for others. A retired electrician with NASA, he carried a strong work ethic and a deep sense of pride in everything he did. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, a chapter of his life that reflected his dedication and commitment. In his community, Fred was an active member of the Civitan Club and a faithful member of County Line Baptist Church, where he built lasting friendships and shared his servant’s heart.
In his spare time, Fred found joy in woodworking, creating with his hands and leaving behind pieces that will be treasured for years to come. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and being around people. Known for his warm and welcoming nature, Fred never met a stranger—only friends he hadn’t yet gotten to know. His kindness, generosity, and easygoing spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Thelma Conneway; son, Ken Conneway; grandson, Timothy Conneway.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie Conner, Enterprise, AL; son, Fred “Temas” Conneway, Thailand; grandchildren, Mark Conneway, Devin Harden, Mallory Harden, Jared Harden; great-grandchildren, Tyler Conneway, Timothy Conneway, Tucker Conneway, Aiden Conneway, Davion Bell, and Sambria Hill; sister, Marion Cartwright, WV.
