Frank Habich Tomaino, of Daleville, AL, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at his home. He was 84.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 25, 2024 at Daleville Memorial Gardens with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, 3033 Wilson Blvd, Suite 300, Arlington, VA 22201 or the American Legion Post 73, 701 East Lee Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
A dedicated veteran, Frank’s military career began with three years in the Navy aboard the USS Intrepid, followed by a transfer to the Army, from which he retired after 22 years of service. He proudly served three tours in Vietnam as a Crew Chief. Frank also retired from Army Fleet Support as an Aircraft Mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking and found immense joy in spending time with his family. Frank was a long-time member of the American Legion, where he continued to serve his community and fellow veterans. His legacy is one of dedication, resilience, and love for his family and country.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Ethel Tomaino, two sons Dale Keith Tomaino and Mark Phillip Tomaino, and a sister Ethel Del Balso.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Annie Ruth Tomaino, Daleville, AL; son, Anthony Edward Tomaino (Tiffany); sister, Anna Tomaino, Aurora, CO; four grandchildren, Chelsea Tomaino (Charles), Chase Tomaino, Katlin Snell and Kevina Snell; one great-granddaughter, Zoe Mathis.
