Dixie Lee Hartley, of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025. She was 69.

Mrs. Dixie was a devoted mother, beloved military spouse, and proud Alabamian whose life was defined by love, strength, and selfless sacrifice. Throughout her husband’s Army career, she held her family together with unwavering resilience, gracefully managing the challenges of military life while always putting her children first. A woman of many passions, Dixie loved hummingbirds, beach days, long scenic drives, traveling, and music that filled her home with warmth. She had a fiery spirit when it came to Alabama football—never missing a game. Her deep love for her hometown and the joy she found in everyday moments made her a comforting presence to all who knew her. Dixie’s legacy of loyalty, joy, and fierce devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of those she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. Wilkinson Sr. and mother, Willaphane Wilkinson, along with her brother Ricky Wilkinson and sister Sandara Tindell.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years Jack R. Hartley Jr., Enterprise, AL; three daughters, Desiree I. Hartley, Columbia, SC, Misty McAlhany (James), Enterprise, AL, Jade Weber (Logan), Dothan, AL; son, Michael Allums, Enterprise, AL; sister, Juanita K. Greathouse (Joe Ed), Enterprise, AL; three brothers, Toby J. Wilkinson (Anna), Enterprise, AL, Charles E. Wilkinson Jr., Enterprise, Al, Tracy Wilkinson (Sakura), Huntsville, AL.
