Diane Thomas

Diane Thomas of Dothan, AL passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Southeast Medical Center. She was 68.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Roy Turner officiating and Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time.

Diane had a love for life and found joy in the simple things. She enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved trips to the beach, working crossword puzzles, and was a devoted wrestling fan. Above all else, she loved her family. Time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest happiness. Her family was the center of her world, and the love she shared with them was immeasurable. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved, and the memories she created with her family will be treasured forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Gene Thomas, parents John Gibson Mills and Edna Hartzog Mills, sister Gloria Joyce Mills, and brother Burl Howell.

Survivors include her daughter, Myritza D. Anoai, Dothan, AL; two grandchildren, Kendall Anoai Flowers, Dothan, AL; Zell Anoai, Dothan, AL; two great-grandchildren, Halia’s Anoai Flowers and Malo Anoai Flowers; three sisters, Nancy Mills Cole (Steven), Dothan, AL; Brenda Mills Beltran (Alvaro), Level Plains, AL; Trish Byas (Ray), TX; brother, Steve Mills (Melinda), New Brockton, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
