CW4 Richard (Dick) Dunn Olson

CW4 Richard (Dick) Dunn Olson, of San Antonio, TX passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Southeast Health Medical Center. He was 74.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with Senior Pastor Steven J. Cox officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors.

Dick was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served 22 years in the United States Army in clandestine operations, the infantry, and as a helicopter pilot. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, scuba diving, and raising a garden. He was always welcoming to his friends and neighbors and often shared stories about Texas where he was from. He is loved and will be missed.

Mr. Olson was preceded in death by his loving wife Marion Elizabeth Olson.

Survivors include his two sons, Charles Kenneth Olson, Pace, FL; Kristian S. Olson, Enterprise, AL; grandson, Samuel Joseph Olson; two sisters, Marlene Jowell (Phil), Jacksonville, TX; Janie Hale (Ron), Jacksonville, TX.
