Corrie E. Mathews

Corrie E. Mathews of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at her home. She was 83.

A private memorial service will be held prior to internment.

Corrie was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed sewing, hunting, outdoors and gardening. She retired from nursing after 20 years with Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska before pursuing a career as a dental hygienist in Pensacola, Florida until she retired. In her final years she moved to Enterprise, Alabama where she spent time with her family and was active with her husband in community activities as well as bowling and dancing. Corrie will be missed by her family and all who know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther B. and Sybil M. Neff.

Survivors include her two sons, Barron G. McLain (Allison), Anchorage, AK; Richard S. McLain, Seattle, WA; two daughters, Maxime and Manon; grandson, Theodore McLain, Anchorage, AK; sister, Charlotte Kumler (Daniel), Pacifica, CA; domestic partner, Jim Owens, Enterprise, AL; daughter-in-law, Maria Borneman and Owens Family children and grandchildren; stepchildren of the George R. Mathews family.
