Cora Frances Chesser

Cora “Fran” Chesser of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at her home. She was 88.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. In lieu of flowers, please honor Fran by supporting your local Girl Scouts – go buy some cookies and think of her with every bite.

Fran found immense joy in organizing fun surprises for her family, whether through heartfelt phone calls or delightful gatherings. Her home was a welcoming space where laughter and warmth thrived, making her kitchen the heart of many cherished family celebrations. She had a passion for cooking and entertaining, creating an inviting atmosphere that brought everyone together. Her dedication to her family was unwavering; she was always there when needed, offering encouragement and love to those around her. Fran’s life was a testament to the importance of family connection, and her legacy will live on in the memories and traditions she fostered.

Fran was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Conrad F. Chesser and sister Carol Dowd.

Survivors include her two daughters, Lori Wells (John), Prattville, AL; Cari Reed (Danny), Pelham, AL; son, Frank Chesser, Enterprise, AL; five grandchildren, Connie Waguespack (Frankie); Jenna King (Andrew); Ellen Thrash (Will); Ethan Reed; Gavin Reed; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Nora, Wren and Charlie.
