Clayton C. Ward

Clayton C. Ward, age 74, of New Brockton, AL, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 5, 2022 in the chapel of Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Cpl C.C. Ward (USMC) served eight years active duty, during which time he spent two years in the Vietnam War serving from 1966 to 1968 in I-Corps, and is a survivor of the siege of Khe Sahn. He was married for forty-nine years, he worked in construction and operated his own business Ward and Sons Tree Service before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; Hugh K Ward, and Lucille Bell; a sister; Delores Peters; and half-brother Johnny R Ward. Survivors include his wife, Cathy Ward, New Brockton, AL; three sons, Joshua C. Ward, New Brockton, AL; Brian K. Ward, New Brockton, AL; Joseph S. Ward, New Brockton, AL; two sisters, Renee Hardes, Hubert, NC; Aquila Tew, Ozark, AL; a brother, James K. Ward, Bathe, NY; Nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
