Claudine Bustin Chamberlin passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, March 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and strength touched all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Quincey and Rev. Gerald Bustin officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the remarkable woman she was.

Claudine was born on January 31,1928 in Jonesboro, Arkansas as the firstborn daughter of Pastor G.T. and Lura Bustin, and the oldest of six children. As the eldest sibling, she naturally stepped into a nurturing role — a reflection of the calling that would later define her ministry. Throughout her life, she was known for her steadfast faith, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to her family. She carried herself with grace, offering wisdom, encouragement and compassion to everyone she encountered.

A devoted servant of Christ, loving mother, and faithful missionary, Claudine lived a life poured out for others. Claudine spent much of her life on the mission field, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to serving the Lord. Her greatest passion was caring for orphaned and vulnerable children. She opened not only her hands but her heart, offering love, stability, and the message of hope found in Jesus Christ. To countless children, she became a source of comfort, strength, and faith.

Those who knew Claudine will remember her steady faith, gentle spirit, and unwavering commitment to God’s work. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and the transforming love of Jesus. Her legacy is not only in the family she cherished but in the many lives around the world that were forever changed because she said “yes” to God’s call.

Claudine leaves behind a family who will continue to honor her example of faith, sacrifice, and service. Though her earthly journey has ended, her impact echoes in generations of lives touched by her obedience and love.

Claudine is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Duckworth, San Diego, CA; six grandchildren, Tony (Tracey), Rodney, Kenny (Amy), Chris, Michael (Jessica), Courtney (Jeff); numerous great grandchildren; brother, Rev. Gerald Bustin (Roanna), Summerfield, FL; daughter-in-law, Vicki Chamberlin, Ozark, AL; extended family members, and many dear friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71-years Victor Chamberlin, daughter Carolyn Chamberlin, son Wayne Chamberlin, parents G.T. and Lura Bustin, and four siblings Paul, Joanna, Charles, and Lenita.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, faith, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
