Christine Johnson Harcus

Christine Johnson Harcus of Tallahassee, FL passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2026. She was 77.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Enterprise City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.

Christine found great joy in reading her Bible, sharing the Gospel, and living out her faith each day. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends playing board games. Above all, Christine cherished her family and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. Her love, faith, and warm spirit touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Bell Griffin; son, Michale Todd Johnson; husbands, Todd Johnson and Jim Harcus; brother, JL Griffin.

Survivors include her son, Wayne Johnson (Becky); daughter, Shannon Simmons (Gary); five granddaughters, Tanesha Johnson, Michelle Simmons, Ashlee Simmons, Faith Simmons, and Delaniee Simmons; three great-grandchildren; sister, Claudine Morris (Joe); brother, Huey Griffin; four nieces.
