Charles Vickers Ezzell Jr.

Charles Vickers Ezzell, Jr., of Enterprise, AL, a 1976 Enterprise High School graduate and a 1981 Auburn University graduate, was born on December 27, 1957, and passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 67.

Charlie was a devoted husband, father, and DeDe whose greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tammy Ezzell; his son, Chase Ezzell (Dawn); his daughter, Mary Catherine Wood; and his beloved granddaughters, Alivia Ezzell and Anna Claire Wood; a loving sister Elizabeth Hutchinson (Ron); a Brother In Law, Bill Hutchison (Stacy); and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Vickers Ezzell, Sr., and his mother Sarah Helen Ezzell.

Charlie found his way into the world of sales after he graduated from Auburn, in his families company, J.P. Chancey Company, Inc. In recent years Charlie was a Sr. Account Executive with Canon Solutions. Charlie was an avid Auburn fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was a dedicated sports official, who lived life with integrity, passion, and fairness both on and off the fields and courts, with Enterprise Parks and Recreation. He was deeply respected in his church family at First Methodist Church of Enterprise and community, as well as, treasured by countless friends who knew him as loyal, kindhearted, and genuine.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025. Visitation will be held in the parlor at First Methodist Church of Enterprise at 11:30 am with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm with Reverend Matt Jordan, officiating. The interment will be at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, AL.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Methodist Church of Enterprise, 217 South Main Street, Enterprise, AL  36330.

Charlie’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.
