Charles Nelson Doss of Dozier, AL passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Elba Health and Rehabilitation. He was 76.

Memorial services will be held in Virginia at a later date.

Charles proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was an avid reader who enjoyed fantasy and fiction. He also enjoyed thrifting with his wife, Cindy, and treasured the time they spent together.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leland and Dorothy Doss.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Doss, Dozier, AL; two sons, Thomas A. Doss (Karen), Texas; Richard E. Doss (Stephanie), Missouri; sister, Lou Rich (Lonnie), Florida.
