Charles Buford Anderson

Charles Buford Anderson of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, AL. He was 87 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Christ Community Church with Pastor Joey Turman officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Enterprise Senior Center, 2401 Neil Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330.

Charles was a man whose life was marked by faith, fellowship, and a genuine love for people. A loyal and devoted member of Christ Community Church for over 50 years, his church family was a central and cherished part of his life. His steady presence and servant’s heart left a lasting impression on all who worshiped alongside him.

Charles had a deep love for country, gospel and bluegrass music, finding joy and comfort in the songs that spoke to his faith and simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed spending time with friends playing dominos and bingo, where laughter was always plentiful and his warm, welcoming smile could brighten any room.

Kind-hearted and outgoing, Charles never met a stranger. He valued friendship and treasured the time he spent with those he loved most. His devotion to his family was unwavering, and he held his friends close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Eva Anderson; his seven brothers; William, Marion, David, Huey, Jessie, Roy, and Luney Anderson; one sister, Linda Baxley.

Survivors include daughter; Anita Longsworth, Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Keli (Derek) Williams, Kristi Longsworth, Blake (Sara) Longsworth, Brannon (Jordyn) Longsworth, great grandchildren, Greyson Williams, Grant (Mary Beth) Williams, Olivia Rizzo, Nick Rizzo, Wilder Longsworth, Copeland Longsworth, Oscar Longsworth, Lizzy Longsworth; sister-in-law; Elaine Anderson; special friend, Stephanie Watson. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
